I'm getting tons of hits with people looking for the song containing the lyrics Some of my friends sell records, some of my friends sell drugs. The song is called Gangsters & Thugs and it's by The Transplants. Google hasn't updated its index to show the post where I originally put the lyrics, it links to the blog's home page. The power of Google is in full scary effect. I typed in "Some of my friends sell records" and wound up here. I heard this song on "The X" out of Santa Cruz yesterday while driving on the 101 back to LA from SF. Great station, they're not so good on the back announcing. For whatever reason it tapped my spine. My good fortune that it's on Rhapsody. Which means I'll burn it down in a day. :)
